Help with character walking animation in 3DS MAX

I'm a 3D animation student, working in 3DS MAX, and currently creating a character animation. I’m having some trouble animating my character walking, he's built with bones and a custom rig. I have the first set of key frames completed, with two steps completed, but can’t make him move any further, as the copied key frames go back to the original starting point. How do I copy the key frames over so they move forward?

Please help.
